Watkins Glen was only my second race this season but it's already a turning point in my season. Being a bit far in the standings, my only goal was to finish and score important points that would help me to get in the top 25 later in the season.
Qualification went bad as I was really nervous and couldn't hit my marks in both laps. In the first one I lost 3 tenths of a second in sector 3 which gave me a 18.2. The second lap was a bit better but it was still far from my PB (17.730), scoring a 18.134. The lack of racing the past few months didn't help me to get a good qualification but the fact that I've done only the 30th time showed how tight and talented the field was.

After a one year absence from being the first circuit to host the iWCGPS season opener, we returned to the renowned SPA-Francorchamps circuit.

The last race before the Christmas-break at Road America didn't end too well for me so with a damaged car and ego and hardly any points I welcomed the 2 weeks off from racing the FW31.

Returning for the first race of 2013 to Watkins Glen felt good, having some nice memories of my best point score race in the Season 3 Grand Prix series race there.
